Silver Class was founded in 2000 by I Gusti Ngurah Agung, a local artisan with a deep passion for Balinese craftsmanship and culture. The idea began when he recognized the growing potential of tourism in Karangasem, particularly in the peaceful village of Sidemen. Inspired by the opportunity to share Bali’s rich silversmithing heritage with visitors from around the world, he decided to establish the very first Silver Class in the area.
The name “Silver” carries a personal meaning it was inspired by the founder’s own name, Agung, symbolizing pride, dedication, and authenticity. From a humble beginning, Silver Class has become a place where creativity and culture meet where every piece of silver tells a story of Bali’s timeless artistry.
